My Pagan Easter Egg

Remember when Christmas time was coming last year, when I was working on an altar with an obelisk in it? Well for Easter I have created an easter egg.

It is motivated by much of the same ideas that fueled the Christmas project. The egg is made from an aluminium wire frame wrapped in duct tape and that newspaper, which is glued onto the frame and eventually painted on. Rabbits, suns, moons, and nude goddesses decorate the egg. The goddesses and rabbits represent fertility, and the sun and the moon are the sun and the moon.

It’s my way of celebrating paganism, the pagan Easter, while everyone else is either commemorating the mythic death of Jesus, or not caring.
